Written Reflection Statement

My designs are for possible community spaces which provide a range of opportunities through which the public can interact with them. I wanted to communicate where the interior and exterior forms could be created through the light and shadows in my models. The paper archways in ‘Model Nine’ achieve this, the shadowed sections indicating where domed interiors could be constructed. Further, the scale figures shown walking across the archways demonstrates that the building is also composed of exterior structures which ask one to interact with the building’s forms in multiple different ways. Thus, I feel I have successfully communicated the purpose of my designs.
